BIG NEWS at RisingStar!!  RisingStar has added a new Partner.  My very good friend Deborah Stumm has decided to join me in being RisingStar Miniature Pinschers.  It will now be a joint effort with both of us doing the work together.  I am very proud and happy to announce this news.  WELCOME to the newest RISINGSTAR!

RisingStar was born in 1991 when I got my first show dog from Gloria Knapp of Chateau Acres fame. Chateau Acres Almond Joy, also known affectionately as "JoJo", was a well bred girl who quite simply decided that she hated the show ring. I learned so much by showing her and finally I realized that she just wasnt meant to be a show dog, however she more than made her mark in the breed in the whelping box and eventually became a Hall of Fame producer with 8 Champions to her credit.
My 2nd show dog from Chateau Acres lines was CH Chateau Acres Fair Play, aka "Cricket" and she was a spitfire and a half. There was nothing that she wouldnt take on and she went on to become a champion and also receive an Award of Merit at the 2005 MPCA National Specialty. She LOVED being in the show ring and the center of attention.
To make a long story short, I was hooked. This sport is my passion, my heart and soul and the dogs are what make it that for me. They give you everything they have in and out of the ring. My dogs are my family first and show dogs second. I breed for attitude and temperament above all else because without those you dont have a show dog.
I was blessed to have a great Mentor and a fabulous line to start my own lines with. When I added the most wonderful dog in the world, BISS CH Sunbrook Red Cloud to my very sound Chateau Acres lines, I was able to start RisingStar. And everything else, as they say, is history. Over 20 years later, I love this breed more than ever. Hope to keep going for many years ahead.
Enjoy your visit!
